Getting started

Follow these steps to go from sign-up to your first asset with live data.

1. Log in to the identity portal​

Go to id.trackle.space and log in. From here you can see the list of Spaces you have access to.

2. Create a new Space (if you don't already have one)​

From the portal, start the onboarding flow: choose a name for your Space, pick a plan and complete activation (which may include checkout for the chosen plan). Once done, your Space will be reachable at its own subdomain (e.g. acme.trackle.space).

3. Enter your Space​

Open your Space's subdomain: from now on you'll be working inside that isolated environment.

4. Create your first Template​

Go to Settings → Asset Templates and create a new template: give it a name, configure IoT connectivity (Trackle, MQTT or HTTP; if MQTT, pick the profile), metadata and the telemetry variables you want to monitor. See Creating and configuring a template.

5. Create your first Asset​

Go to the Asset page, pick the template you just created, and create a new asset. See Creating assets from a template.

6. Connect the physical device​

On the asset's detail page, enter the External ID that identifies your physical device and complete the link according to the template's IoT connectivity (Trackle, MQTT or HTTP). See Connecting a physical device.

7. Watch the data come in​

Once the device is connected, the asset's live parameters and history start populating. From here you can also create a dashboard or an alarm rule directly from the asset page.
